from a post card also...this is the Lantern Lobby. The fire started here. The curtain caught the fire from the lantern and started the devastated loss. 

The Crimson Drawing Room, also from a post card. Over 500.000 gold leaves were used. Very impressive. 

The ceiling is the most elaborate and also the largest green oak structure since the 6th century. It is a masterpiece!! This is St. George's Hall. 

from a post card...this is the Grand Recption Room. The ceiling collapsed in 1992 fire and was accurately restored. 

St. George's chapel...buried here: Henry VIII, Jane Seymour, Charles I, Edward VII, George VI, etc... Photography was not allowed inside the buildings..they wanted you to buy postcards...I of course bought tons of them and a picture book.

This castle is the most lavishly decorated castle I've ever seen. Gorgeous!! 

The flag is flying...that tells you the Queen is not there........
